Benton County Child Find

Benton County Child Find is an effort to find any children in Benton County ages 3 through 21 who need special education services for areas of delay or giftedness. The Child Find is held county-wide each spring. The special education department advertises the event with all area doctors, clinics, the health department, and newspapers and radio.

Parents or guardians with concerns about a child should not wait for the event to request a screening. Parents or guardians may call Pam Chmelik, special education supervisor, at (731) 584-6111 to request a screening at any time.
